Helene Grass (*1974, Hamburg) grew up in Berlin. Her career spans theatre, radio, television and movies.
After completing her education at the prestigious Otto Falckenberg School in Munich she performed in theaters in in Zurich, Hamburg, Basel and Freiburg. This season she is on tour with the Théâtre National de la Colline. She has appeared in numerous movie and television productions, most recently in the BBC series “World on Fire”. Since 2015 she has been playing a forensic expert in the main cast of the crime series “Rentnercops”. In addition, Helene Grass works as a speaker, narrator and audio drama actor for radio stations (RBB, NDR, WDR, and more) and audiobook productions, and acts as a presenter.

She performed with her father Günter Grass in a literary-musical production about the poets of the Romantic period, the widely-celebrated “Des Knaben Wunderhorn oder die andere Wahrheit” (literally, “The Youth’s Magic Horn or the other truth”). Helene Grass stages various musical-literary programs such as “Hilde, Cole und wir”, in which she also performs as a singer. From 2016 to 2022, Helene Grass was the artistic director of the literature and music festival “Wege durch das Land”.
